Mold Damage – Bakersfield Laundry Room
Mold damage at this Bakersfield home followed water damage caused by a slow water hose leak in the laundry room. The water was absorbed up by the drywall behind the washing machine, so it went unnoticed for quite some time. Eventually, the drywall became saturated, and water showed up on the floor. By that time mold had developed from the damp and dark condition of the area behind the washer. We were called in to clean up the mold and repair any permanent damage. We set up a containment area to prevent mold spores from dispersing throughout the house while we worked on the mold problem. We quickly realized that the drywall was beyond saving due to the extensive water damage, so it was torn out and disposed of. All the mold affected areas were cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial agent before rebuilding the laundry room.
